- Water. Water frequently with lime-free water so that the soil is always moist but never puddled.
- Fertilizer. Fertilize weekly with non-calcareous mineral fertilizer.
- Temperature. Too much water rots the roots off the plants, especially at cool temperatures, e.g. below 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
