Light
- Provide bright, indirect light (6+ hours daily).
- Avoid harsh, direct sunlight, which can easily scorch the sensitive white/variegated portions of the leaves.
Water
- Water thoroughly when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch.
- Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged or soggy.
- Reduce watering slightly during cooler winter months when growth slows down.
Soil & Potting Mix
- Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix combining regular potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark (or coco coir) to ensure good aeration and root health.
- Choose a modest-sized pot with drainage holes; excess soil holds too much moisture around a small root system.
Temperature & Humidity
- Maintain warm temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C–30°C).
- Keep the plant away from cold drafts, air conditioning units, and heating vents.
- Aim for high humidity (60% to 80%) using a humidifier or pebble tray to prevent crispy leaf edges.
Fertilizer
- Feed with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer every 2 to 4 weeks during the active growing season (spring and summer).
- Stop or pause fertilizing completely during fall and winter.
