Light Requirements
  • Provide bright, indirect light or a few hours of gentle morning sun.
  • Intense direct sun can burn the leaves, while too little light fades the silver splashing and stops blooming. 
    • Watering and Soil
  • Use a chunky, epiphytic soil mix combining orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.
  • Let the soil dry completely between waterings; overwatering causes root rot.
  • Look at the leaves: plump, firm leaves mean it is hydrated; wrinkled, bendy leaves mean it is thirsty. 
    • Temperature and Humidity
  • Keep temperatures warm, ideally between 60°F and 85°F (15°C to 30°C). Never let it drop below 50°F (10°C).
  • Average room humidity is fine, but it grows faster and yields better silver contrast with higher humidity.
    • Feeding and Maintenance
  • Feed with a diluted, balanced houseplant or orchid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.
  • This plant is pet-safe (non-toxic to cats and dogs).
