Hoya pubicalyx Care 🌿💖
Fast-growing and easygoing, Hoya pubicalyx is a gorgeous vining plant with speckled green leaves that can turn reddish in bright light. It produces clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers—sometimes even when still young!
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light helps it grow fast and blush red. A bit of morning sun is great, but avoid harsh midday rays.
💧 Water: Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry before watering. Loves a good soak, then a full dry-out.
🌫️ Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to typical indoor air.
🌡️ Temperature: Thrives in warm indoor temps (65–85°F). Avoid cold drafts and temps below 60°F ❄️.
🪴 Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix—potting soil + orchid bark + perlite is ideal.
🌸 Fertilizer: Feed once a month during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertilizer.
📏 Growth: A vigorous climber or trailer—great on a trellis or in a hanging basket. Can get long fast!
🐛 Pests: Keep an eye out for mealybugs and mites. Wipe leaves and treat early if needed.
